Timothy M. Whiting wins jury award of more than five times defendant’s pre-trial offer

Whiting Law Group is pleased to announce the details of a recent jury verdict in a motor vehicle collision case filed in Walworth County, Wisconsin. With a pre-trial offer of only $55,000 from the defending insurance company, Timothy M. Whiting won a total jury verdict of $305,166.53 on behalf of a Wisconsin woman who suffered back injuries during a car crash on December 15, 2003. The winning verdict was more than 5 times the defendant’s pre-trial offer.

Although the plaintiff had been in a car wreck in 1992, and had had surgery for a similar back injury 6 months prior to the crash on December 15, 2003, the jury was convinced by Mr. Whiting’s argument that the crash and resultant injuries were, in fact, caused by the defendants negligence in this case. Tim relied on the expert testimony of Dr. Strum, a board-certified physician in Neurosurgery.

After the 3-day trial, Tim expressed his pleasure with the result:

“The jury saw the truth of the matter and delivered the right verdict and award. Our client had extensive injuries and subsequent medical bills, so justice prevailed when we were able to convince the jury to hold the insurance company’s driver responsible for their negligent conduct.”

This top result, won by Whiting Law Group on behalf of its clients, is a result of the dedication, experience and trial advocacy skill of Tim Whiting and his firm.
