Having joined Whiting Law Group as a law clerk in May 2010, Torrie N. Poplin was welcomed as an associate of the firm in May 2013.

In 2012, Ms. Poplin graduated from Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon, where she received her JD and a certificate in Global Law. While at Lewis and Clark, she was a member of the Northwestern Environmental Defense Fund and worked at the Lewis and Clark Legal Clinic.

A native of New Orleans, Ms. Poplin earned her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in international law with a minor in History, French and German. Adding to the multi-lingual capacity of the firm, Ms. Poplin has an intermediate level fluency in French and has basic facility in German.

Within the Whiting Law Group, Ms. Poplin focuses on local and multi-state litigation involving serious personal injury matters. She is experienced in the careful inspection and legal analysis of medical records, particularly those involving medical malpractice and nursing home negligence.

As a newly sworn-in lawyer, Ms. Poplin is eager to engage more actively in protecting the rights of those unlawfully injured by the negligence of others. Ms. Poplin is licensed to practice law in Illinois.
